BORN AND RAISED AT DYNO-COMP… DONE THE RIGHT WAY!

Dyno-Comp introduces the latest and greatest Subaru STI tuned with ECUTEK’s RaceROM. This 2007 Subaru STI was originally tuned at Dyno-Comp on ECUTEK’s EasyECU. With the recent release of ECUTEK RaceROM the owner decided to upgrade for a new array of features and tuning capabilities. The VK550 (Viper Killer Stage-4) performance package equipped on this car in conjunction with E85 made for huge power. This is a prime example of a car that was broken in the right way from day 1! Dyno-Comp has been involved with the tuning on this car from the first modification until now, and it still runs to its full potential with not one problem. E85 Performance Tune…

In this post we feature one of the most unique Subaru’s ever built at the Dyno-Comp facilities. This 2011 Subaru STI was brought straight from the showroom floor for a complete overhaul. Pictured above are some before and after photos, as you can tell this is not the same car that it was when we first started working on it. The project started with a decision to change up the paint on the car. We painted the roof, hood scoop, side skirts, mirrors, rear spoiler, and front air ducts with a nice flat black followed by the smoking of the front and rear lights to match. This color scheme really brought out the boldness of the new 2008+ Hatchback design. After the paint finished curing it was time to throw some matching wheels on the car, we accomplished this with some 18″ Advan RSD’s in a matte black. Beyond the cosmetic work of this car we performed a huge amount of performance upgrades, which can be easily viewed in the list bellow…

18×9 45 Advan RSD Wheels

These packages can also be customized with a variety of parts that help noise levels, emissions, and comfort for the driver. The dyno charts pictured above feature multiple performance maps that are offered by Dyno-Comp. The first is a straight 91 octane fuel map, this would be the gasoline you can get right out of the pump. The second is a 50/50 map that is optimized for running 50% 91 octane and 50% E85 in your fuel tank. That mixture is helpful for either cold weather usage or when you might be running low on gasoline and cannot find an E85 station. The last dyno chart shows a 100% E85 map and is a peak performance tune, this will get you the highest horsepower being that its only for 100% E85. FLEX FUEL 2008 STI: DYNO-COMP VK550 HANGS WITH THE BIG BOYS

Dyno-Comp has just completed another successful E85 build on a 2008 Subaru STi, however this eco-tuned Subaru has a twist…
Our typical Stage-4 E85 “Viper Killer” performance package utilizes the top quality of a Blouch Dominator 3 turbocharger. In this build we decided to go the route of a Blouch Dominator 2.5 turbo which helped maintain high horsepower while keeping turbo lag to a minimum. This Blouch turbo was able to achieve an astonishing 23 psi of boost at only 3750 rpms! That is definitely the best of both worlds when it comes to a balance of power and turbo spool up time. Here is the list of modifications included in this build…
